• “Darkness offers an intelligent stillness that fills and tills our psyche in a manner both difficult and beautiful. Let us dwell in darkness. Instead of the luminous as a measure, we can turn with more nuance to the numinous. See the dark. Be awake in its ancient cradle.”

What is night wilding?

It may feel counterintuitive, but night is feminine… In both Eastern and Western traditions, the female aspect of nature is connected to darkness and night.

Night has a special potential and resonance for women, in part because it is a ‘forbidden’ space. Have you ever explored, meditated or walked alone in the woods at night, just for the sake of finding out what it feels like?

Night wilding is the practice of engaging intentionally with the ‘night self’ ~ through night solitude in nature. Evening and overnight events take place in West Kent. 2026 dates are currently being finalised for July and September. You may register below or email info@re-yoga.co.uk .

Night Wilding Talk

This lightning talk at Oru Space was a great opportunity to give people a feel for this intentional, unusual form of nature connection. Have a look!

Experience Rewilding at Night

  • Person walking on a dark, tree-lined dirt path at night with a dim light on the left side and cloudy sky overhead.

    Night Experience

During a single evening experience, I guide a small group of women in an intentional and soulful night voyage.

The evening culminates in an opportunity to dwell ‘alone’ in the woods while supported by the presence of other nearby women.

It is a psycho - spiritual practice. It is both soulful and psychologically enriching. It is unusual terrain and takes the nervous system into safe challenge, thereby building resilience.

In night wilding we connect with nature and self in a very different way ~ we see things differently.

    Rewilding Retreats

On retreat, we have more time to delve into archetype of the great mother ~ earth, darkness and night.

Past events have explored the divine feminine the balance of day and night and yin and yang.

During the retreat experiencing yoga, sound healing, conservation education, and land craft are all part of the creative connection with awakening awareness of night.

Without spoiling what is often felt as a joyful, surprising and mysterious experience, in my blog I share a little about the process of night rewilding so you’ll get a rough idea of what to expect.
