This yoga for self-development workshop is a light introduction to the yoga psychology of the 'koshas', a yogic lens of embodied being. Often used as an assessment tool in yoga therapy, the five koshas or sheaths are the physical, energetic, mental emotional, inner wisdom and spiritual layers of our beings.
This workshop will provide a space for you to take stock of your 5 koshas and assess how each is currently operating within you - where things are going well and how a sheath might be out of balance.
During the workshop we’ll deep dive into what the 5 sheaths are and how they interact, exploring them through practice and reflection. You will leave with a new lens through which to sense your holistic being as well as deeper insight into areas where change might be needed. Most importantly, you'll understand which yogic tools most benefit each kosha, giving you the knowledge you need to meet that change.
It is an excellent way to step into the new year and look forward to the growth of spring. The workshop is suitable for anyone seeking to deepen their knowledge of yoga or themselves, and how yoga benefits the therapeutic process and self-development. It is not intended to be therapy.
The workshop is £35 and can booked via the Oru Space website here.
